Margin governance
A green, yellow and red stoplight against floors each company set, with manager approval below the floor.
WindowCalc · Free & Open Source
Public Domain · Unlicense
Our original platform: multi-company quoting with margin governance, manager approvals, NOA checks, county property lookups, and an offline mobile field app. We released the entire codebase into the public domain on GitHub for anyone in the trade to use, study, or build upon.
Platform Capabilities
A green, yellow and red stoplight against floors each company set, with manager approval below the floor.
Flagged a risky opening red, but never blocked the rep from saving. The field always finishes; the office corrects.
Owner, folio and building details pulled from South Florida county property appraisers to pre-fill a job.
Customer texts and job photos threaded into the quote, with internal notes kept apart.
Tokenized, expiring links a customer could open without a login, with views tracked.
Pulled a fresh pricing bundle every fifteen minutes, queued changes offline, and priced with the same math as the server.
The Architectural Lesson
WindowCalc proved that quoting software for this trade is possible, and it taught us what dealers really need next.
Everything we learned went into Quote Converter Pro™, part of the EWD Suite.
